Learner Driving

How do I get started?

Contact the A-Team by phoning our free number 0800 0901623 or by mobile 07802 590058 or send an email with your contact details to info@ateamdrivingschoolc.o.uk and we will call you straight back. We will answer all your questions and endeavour to book you in immediately with an instructor who suits your needs.

How many driving lessons will I need?

At the A-Team we realise our pupils are individuals and so would like to invite you to take a discounted assessment drive so we can decide on your requirements and give you a personal estimate.

During this hour we aim to get you nicely settled in and on the move as soon as possible, allowing our experienced instructors the chance to assess your strengths and weaknesses. We will then give you an idea of how many hours it should take to be ready for your test. We recommend that you take a minimum of 1 hour every week on a continuous basis for the best retention of information.

The DSA have provided driving instructors and pupils alike with a recommended number of hours for a pupil to be ready for test. Go to www.dsa.gov.uk for more information.

In addition to driving lessons we also have a range of training aids to help you study for the theory and Hazard Perception Tests. Our instructors are at the end of the phone to help with your questions.

What will I need to begin my lessons?

To begin learning to drive you must be at least 17 years old, hold a provisional driving licence and be able to read a number plate at 20.5 metres. Application forms for a licence can be obtained from Post Offices or apply on-line, visit  www.direct.gov.uk for more information.
